The Muslim Guide

The last Prophet Muhammad, the messenger of Islam, defined the Muslim with many characteristics in his hadiths.

Muslims and Prophet Muhammad (saw)

  • Continue to worship Allah without associating shirk with Allah, perform the obligatory Salahs (prayers), pay the obligatory zakat, and fast in Ramadan. Treat people the way you want them to treat you.
  • The most perfect of the believers in faith is the most beautiful in morals.
  • You will not enter Paradise unless you believe, and you will not have believed unless you love one another. Shall I show you a deed which if you do it you will love one another? Spread salaam (greeting) among you.
  • Whoever rejoices when he does good and is sad when he does evil is a believer.
  • A believer is not a foul-mouthed person who attacks people's honor, who curses, who speaks foul language.
  • The best of you is the one from whom good is expected and evil is not expected, and the worst of you is the one from whom good is not expected and evil is expected.
  • He/she who is instrumental in good is like the doer of good.
  • Make it easy, do not make it difficult, bring good news, do not make people hate religion.
  • A believer is not put into the same hole twice. (A believer does not fall into the same error twice)
  • Beware of disobeying Allah wherever you are, and do a good deed after an evil deed so that it may disappear. Treat people according to good morals.
  • Allah is pleased that one of you should do his work, his deed and his duty firmly and well.
  • Faith has seventy-odd degrees. The highest is the saying 'Laa ilaha illallah (There is no god but Allah)', and the lowest is to remove something offensive from the road. Haya (the feeling of shame) is also a part of faith.
  • Allah has no mercy on those who have no mercy on others.
  • Islam is good morals.
  • And whoever sees an evil and ugly deed, let him correct it with his hand (by force); and if he is unable to do so, let him correct it with his tongue (verbally); and if he is unable to do so, let him oppose it in his heart. This (the last) is the weakest degree of faith.
  • There is no harm and no retaliation for harm.
  • None of you can be a true believer unless he desires for his brother what he desires for himself.
  • Smiling at your (believing) brother is charity. Commanding good and forbidding evil is charity. It is charity for you to guide someone who has lost his way. It is charity for you to remove stones, thorns and bones from the road.
  • Allah does not look at your outward appearance nor at your wealth. But He looks into your hearts and your deeds.
  • Allah's pleasure is in the pleasure of parents. And Allah's anger is in the anger of parents.
  • The best of you are those who are kindest to their wives.
  • Whoever does not show mercy to our little ones and respect to our elders is not one of us.
  • He/she who believes in Allah and the Last Day, let him/her not oppress his/her neighbor. He/she who believes in Allah and the Last Day should treat his/her guest. He/she who believes in Allah and the Last Day should either speak good or keep silent.
  • The believer has a strange state that no one else has; everything he does is good. If he receives a blessing, he is grateful and it is good for him. If he experiences hardship, he is patient and that is a good for him.
  • Give the laborer his wages before the sweat of his brow dries.
  • What people, animals and birds eat from the trees planted or the crops sown by a Muslim is charity for that Muslim.
  • There is an organ in a human being. If it is healthy, the whole body is healthy; if it is diseased, the whole body is diseased. Pay attention! It is the heart.
  • If any of you has a tree sapling in his/her hand when the Hour (Day of Judgment) begins to break, and he/she is able to plant it before the Hour (Day of Judgment) breaks, let him/her plant it immediately.
  • The best of you is the one whose morals are the best.
  • The one who sleeps with a full stomach knowing that his neighbour is hungry is not one of us.

Let's remember Allah.
